Finance and Accounting Team

You have experience in franchising and retail, with strong accounting skills and a deep understanding of brick-and-mortar operations. You are flexible, proactive, and willing to engage in initiatives beyond traditional finance and accounting to enhance company profitability. Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Oversee monthly and annual financial statements at various levels.
  • Ensure accurate financial reports with detailed variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Meet monthly with business unit leaders and C-Suite to review financials.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement accounting policies and procedures.

Forecasting
  • Manage and update 13-week and long-range cash flow forecasts with the Sr. Director of Finance.

Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Oversee annual audits and maintain relationships with auditors.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure policy and GAAP compliance.

Cash Management
  • Optimize cash flow management and financial strategies.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.

Strategy & Growth
  • Prepare quarterly board reports with the C-Suite.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.

Special Projects
  • Optimize the chart of accounts for better financial reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Integrate financial systems for newly acquired or franchised units.
  • Implement and optimize ERP systems and financial software.
  • Lead procurement initiatives to reduce costs and improve profitability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA certification.
  • Minimum 3 years in senior accounting roles (Controller+).
  • Experience in franchising and retail brick-and-mortar businesses.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Netsuite preferred) and data visualization tools (PowerBI).
  • Proven leadership in accounting and finance teams.
  • Experience reporting to C-Suite.
  • Flexibility to meet high-growth environment demands.
  • International accounting experience (Canada, Europe) is a plus.
