Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst - Acquisitions to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating and executing acquisition opportunities to support the company's growth strategy. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and excellent financial modeling skills. An understanding of the lawn care industry is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis and Modeling: • Conduct thorough financial analyses and develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate potential acquisition targets. • Assess the financial performance, stability, and growth prospects of target companies. • Perform valuation analysis using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions. • Participate in the LOI negotiation process.
2. Due Diligence: • Assist and coordinate the due diligence process for acquisition opportunities, including financial, operational, and legal aspects. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights. • Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with target companies.
3. Strategic Planning: • Work closely with senior management to define acquisition strategies and objectives. • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. • Assist in the development of integration plans for acquired companies.
4. Market Research: • Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets and industry trends. • Stay updated on industry developments, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes. • Attend industry trade shows and conferences.
5. Reporting and Presentation: • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors. • Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is a plus. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the lawn care or related industry. • Proven track record of evaluating and executing acquisitions. • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
