Seeking a Financial Planning Manager to drive the fiscal success of a global infectious disease research portfolio. Key duties involve grants administration, financial reporting, risk management, and strategic financial planning.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and management of budgets, including variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Ensure adherence to federal regulations for grants and contracts. Develop and maintain financial policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor and facilitate the timely billing and collection of funds from clinical trials, private awards, and other sources.
  • Assist in the management of the Foundation's loss control and insurance programs, evaluating and mitigating risks related to medical malpractice, property, and general liability.
  • Advise senior management on financial matters related to grant and contract research administration.
  • Supervise the daily financial operations, including cash receipts, contributions, electronic draw downs, reconciliations, and record-keeping.
  • Manages employee performance, assigns work duties and has direct authority to hire, discipline, and determine starting salaries and merit increases for employees.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years experience required.
  • Strong financial analysis skills is required.
  • Knowledge of grants administration, fund accounting, and OMB Circulars (2 CFR 200).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Expert with Microsoft Excel.
