We are looking for a South Florida Commercial Market Executive to assist the CEO with the overall management of the Bank's loan portfolio, and loan approval processes. Helps drive the credit culture and processes that ensure a high quality, low risk loan portfolio. Will assist customers with their lending needs; analyze loan requests and make credit recommendations based on Cypress Bank & Trust's lending policy. Assists in the CRA lending effort, and credit related compliance efforts. Takes a key role in the development of new credit products. Works closely with the loan production groups to ensure that credit decisions are made promptly, and credit policy is clearly communicated to facilitate good customer service. The Senior Lending Officer plays a key role in driving loan and deposit production of the Company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Analyze current financial position of customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. • Manage lenders and assist in the structure of loan products and in their production of loan and deposit business. • Maintain loan pipeline reports and loan payoff reports. • Produce loan and deposits for the Bank. • Ensure loan compliance with policies and procedures. • Assist in developing annual budgets for loan and deposit production. • Explain loan programs to customers, evaluate their needs and recommend loan options. • Keep informed of regulatory guidelines and current trends in lending. • Follow current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinate with collections. • Perform other related duties as assigned by management. • Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations. • Complies with the Bank BSA Policy and internal procedures including any related training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Directly supervises 2 or more employees within the Lending department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Must Haves:
Bachelors' degree or equivalent training and/or work experience.
Minimum of ten years lending experience.
Demonstrated strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.
Strong customer focus.
Demonstrated ability to attract, expand and retain member relationships including building a significant level of trust with members.
Well organized and detail oriented.
