In this role you will:
Train using "TELL, SHOW, DO, CHECK" methods.
Attends training meetings, verifications & qualifications.
Makes efficient use of all available discretionary time to ensure training is thorough and completed as soon as possible.
Takes responsibility for directing the training activities of the trainee, and makes recommendations regarding readiness for qualification.
Reinforces the trainee's use of safe practices, quality procedures, and product protection guidelines.
Signs off tasks on the Step-up card as soon as the trainee safely demonstrates proficiency.
Provide step-up card update recommendations to the Department Manager. The Department Manager will forward changes to the E & T Leader.
Takes advantage of unplanned downtime, as well as off-line opportunities, to complete training.
Drive Safety and Quality Improvements.
Provide support to Technical Resources.
Provide coaching & development on technical and SQMS tools within the department.
Support Department by conducting training upon equipment or process changes.
Flow to work in core operations as needed.
Assist with tracking and forecasting consumable resources needed for the department.
Participate in team meetings, daily meetings, and leadership meetings.
Provide technical concurrence for the change management process.
Required Minimum Eligibility:
In current department for 12 months.
Must not have work restrictions that prevent employee from performing essential functions of posting department.
Tier 3 or higher will retain current tier.
Has completed Train the Trainer (TTT).
Is or willing to become a Qualified Qualifier (QQ).
May be required to work during night shift and weekends to support department training and education.
Complete Operational and Technical Skill blocks for all department areas within 12 months.
DESIRED MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY:
Recognized by team as a solid trainer.
Strong Leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of Planning & Scheduling systems.
Communication (written & oral).
Job Aid Development.
Works well with people (Resources internal and external to the site).
Self-Motivating and Follows through to get the work done.
Supportive and knowledgeable of SQMS and HPO.
Ability to get work done through others and prioritize multiple tasks.
Demonstrated Written & Oral Communication Skills, including Presentations.
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel (charts/graphs), Red Prarie, Proficy (reporting).
Able to be creative in working with the businesses to develop & implement robust systems.
Able to set goals and persevere to meet them.
Able to provide Leadership to improve results.
Must be able to work flexible hours or across multiple shifts.
