In addition to a typical Medline workday, the summer is jam-packed with enriching activities, such as social and networking events, leadership presentations, learning and development opportunities, community service projects, plus so much more. The tangible skillset you’ll build while doing meaningful work will set you apart from your peers.

Covering a variety of business areas and needs, our internships are available to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Engineered for personal and professional development, our summer program runs for ten weeks from early June through mid-August.

As a Front End Intern (UI), you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, maintaining and scaling e-commerce systems to ensure seamless and reliable user experience.

Job Description

Examples of possible projects include:


  • Design, code, test, deploy, and support software for our business and commerce needs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.

  • Participate in code reviews.

  • Adhere to established coding standards.

  • Analyze production issues to determine root cause and course of action for resolution.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of software development practices.

  • Write documentation to ensure proper use of software systems.

  • Adhere to IS Department policies and best practices.

  • Work productively with all levels of Medline employees

  • Follow Medline's Code of Ethics and other corporate policies.

  • Support production environment availability when needed

Qualifications:


  • Junior standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field

  • Strong passion for UI technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React)

  • Interest in automated testing tools including Selenium, Jasmine, and Karma

  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Java, C etc.

  • Proficiency in using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly

  • Desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools quickly

  • Previous coursework or projects related to Front end (UI) is a plus

  • Unrestricted permanent US work authorization
