Job Description:

Join a leading family-owned and operated concrete placement company as a full-time Senior Structural Project Manager / Estimator.


This role plays an essential function in the company and is responsible for accurately estimating the total costs associated with the concrete scope of a construction project, as well as coordinating and overseeing awarded projects from inception to completion. This position works closely within the team of managers and operational staff members to provide the most accurate and efficient cost analysis to successfully acquire new work while also ensuring quality completion of the scope requirements, without exceeding the budget.


Roles and Responsibilities:
Accurately estimate and manage the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment requirements for the concrete scope of a construction project.
Analyze early/incomplete design documents to provide conceptual budgeting.


Perform cost analysis and determine project schedule, timeline, and resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
Obtain bids from subcontractors and vendors as they pertain to the scope of work and negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive pricing and project feasibility is attained.
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
Perform risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan.
Communicate regularly with the field team on deliverables and purchasing schedules.
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues.


Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
Ensure all work is done in keeping with industry guidelines and standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
5+ years' experience is required in the management and estimation of structural concrete construction.
Strong knowledge of means and methods, modern-day structural formwork systems, and equipment.
Proficient utilization of applications in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Proficient with On-Screen Takeoff or other relevant applications.
Experienced with accounting and project management concepts.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential/proprietary information.
Proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications.
Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines.
Ability to multitask while focusing on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
