Summary:
The Cross Reference Analyst is the primary owner of the SPR Cross Reference database. This person is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust cross reference database which equips our sales team to grow sales and increase market share. He/she works closely with the sales team, Merchants, and Marketing to identify strategic cross references utilizing the existing database as well as conducting industry research to identify new cross references. A successful candidate will have strong product knowledge, excellent computer and interpersonal skills, and will demonstrate effective research skills and outstanding attention to detail. Location: Smyrna, GA (Near Battery Center)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain a robust Cross Reference Database
Secure competitor cross references; identify and categorize corresponding SPR SKUs
Identify internal cross references – suggested substitutes for when key items are out of stock
Add new cross references when alerted of Stock Number Changes or SKU discontinuations
Alert manager of system issues as it relates to data integrity of the Cross Reference database
Update and maintain existing data and removal of obsolete data
Maintain and update all cross reference related documentation (e.g., manuals, FAQs, etc.)
Develop efficient cross referencing methodologies/processes and continuously look for ways to improve cross referencing
Conduct Cross Reference data analysis as directed by Manager
Conduct manual cross reference searches as needed
Conduct Cross-Reference Reviews of Customer Files
Coordinate with Account Managers to understand customer cross reference needs as it relates to bid and conversion opportunities
Conduct cross reference review of bid and conversion files
Recommend strategic cross references by utilizing existing data and identifying new cross references through researching product specifications and utilizing industry knowledge
Manage internal cross reference requests submitted through service management app
Compile cross reference data requested in a timely manner

Education and/or Experience:
Undergraduate degree preferred. Three to five years in a similar role.
Computer Skills:
Experience with MS Office and database queries.
