Zelisko instrument transformers are available in various designs for indoor and outdoor applications. For over 60 years, these high-precision, maintenance-free instrument transformers have been successfully deployed around the world in all kinds of weather conditions. Zelisko is contributing to the energy transition by supplying current and voltage sensors for automated transformer substations in medium-voltage smart grids.

Zelisko products combine know-how built up over many decades with innovative engineering and product development, as illustrated by its highly automated epoxy-resin casting process for medium-voltage grid insulation. The company also supplies bespoke products for special applications. And short, reliable lead times are standard.

We seek a Sales Manager to develop business in the United States and expand our footprint. This is a new role with a significant opportunity to drive a new business. A Proven sales attitude, self-motivation, and proactive approach (Hunter mentality). Ability and interest in establishing a new business from scratch (Start-up mentality). Self-organized.

Essential Functions:

  • Establishes and develops contacts at all levels with the assigned Key Accounts to generate sustainable sales relations and thus support the achievement of customer-related commercial targets.
  • Plans sales volumes and potential of Key Accounts assigned.
  • Provides information for forecasts and planning.
  • Analyzes the specific customer situation and builds a sound network of stakeholders within the Account organization.
  • Spots opportunities for local product and service portfolio solutions.
  • Prepares customer contacts.
  • Facilitates negotiations of proposals in cooperation with HQ functions based in Austria.
  • May act as a point of contact to Key Accounts in commercial or organizational matters.
  • Reports sales and revenue-related figures.

Experience and Education:

  • Deep understanding of electrical power generation, especially Instrument Transformers
  • Deep understanding of the US electrical power generation and distribution market
  • Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong Preference for Master´s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • MUST be willing to extensive travel
