We are currently hiring for a PURCHASING AGENT.


Hours are 7AM - 3:30PM / 2:30PM - 1AM (Monday - Friday) with a one hour lunch.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Order supplies for production by calling or placing the order online to the appropriate vendor
• Arrange for transportation and/or storage of purchased products
• Maintain records of business transactions and product inventories by entering them into our internal software system (Prelude)
• Update quotes on packing material when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:

• Minimum of 2 years purchasing experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2+ years' experience in similar position
• Excellent organization skills
• Flexibility to change routines
• Demonstrate accuracy in working with detail
• Effectively share information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
• Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations
• Ability to multitask
• Computer skills - with Microsoft Word, Excel
