Comcast Spectacor oversees the Wells Fargo Center and its major transformation project, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, the Maine Mariners hockey team, the Flyers Training Center, the Seoul Infernos OWL team, and Spectacor Events and Entertainment, a growing live events business that has already brought successful, new events to the Philadelphia area. Comcast Spectacor is headquartered at the Wells Fargo Center (WFC) in Philadelphia, PA. The WFC, the 4th most highly attended arena nationally and 7th most attended in the world is home to 270+ events per year, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, Villanova, concerts, and events. Comcast Spectacor is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast and maintains connected and disconnected networks within the Wells Fargo Center.

The Vice President, Brand & Content will be responsible for shaping and elevating our brands, developing creative and content for primarily the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center brands as well as the other properties that fall under the Comcast Spectacor portfolio.

Job Description

  • Work closely with the SVP, Marketing to build out the creative vision in alignment with the Comcast Spectacor brands - articulating how our brand translates to our content, creative, and partnership narratives.

  • Manage the development of brand identity and positioning for both Comcast Spectacor and any current/future entities, ensuring a strong and compelling brand presence throughout all marketing materials and touchpoints.

  • Strategize and focus on elevating brand perception and affinity through social and digital channels.

  • Work closely with the corporate partnerships team and other internal stakeholders on the monetization of existing content and lead the development of new content opportunities.

  • Managing external vendors such as agencies and other suppliers, working closely to ensure appropriate levels of speed, efficiency, clarity, and quality are maintained.

  • Ensure consistent and unified brand identity across all deliverables and channels.

  • Tracks and reports content performance and engagement, supplying information to key stakeholders and using those findings to inform future content creation.

  • Work in partnership with Director, Digital Media to develop and maintain content strategy, ensuring content is reaching our target audiences in the right place, formatted in the optimal way for peak engagement.

  • Develop creative briefs and narratives for marketing campaigns and tentpole events and activations.

  • Oversee and directionally guide leaders of digital and creative verticals - guide decision making and concept development ensuring consistency and alignment to overall creative strategy.

  • Provide leadership to digital and creative teams, mentor team members and foster their personal growth and development.

  • Establish an efficient team delegation and project management while fostering a fun, supportive, collaborative environment to bring out the best work from your team.

  • Collaborate and participate on brand productions, both agency and internally led, ensuring plan and content align with overall brand objectives and creative output meets campaign, channel, and brand needs

  • Develop trusted freelance networks, with defined rate cards, and guide processes to produce content externally when in-house is not a strategic or viable option.

  • Assist Marketing leaders in the ongoing development/refinement of brand architecture, purpose, and values, ensuring creative teams maintain overarching brand guidelines, usages, etc.

  • Precise proofing of all materials and deliver high-quality, on-time, error-free drafts.

  • Willingness to accept and deliver executive feedback in creative direction.

  • Continuous evaluation and improvement of project workflow, process, and tools.

Bachelor's Degree
