Title: Staff Software Engineer

Location: 1414 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203

Duties: Collaborate with the developers and application architects to deliver solutions based on Moody's standards and requirements. Execute database/ETL operations of multiple critical ratings applications in Moody's Investors Service Tech. Establish relationships with key business partners and works in close liaison with IT teams to support improvements and maintenance of applications in scope. Develop detailed customer installation and/or system integration plans for a wide variety of financial institutions using our analytic software and data solutions. Collaborate with Business Analysts to interpret requirements for Business Missions/Epics owned by the stream. Plan, engineer, design, implement and manage database/ETL services for technologies in scope. Partner with application support and development teams to deliver resilient and efficient solutions that meet demanding business requirements. Provide stability to the current architectural solutions and explore opportunities to redesign/rewrite components to make the solutions robust, reliable and resilient. Implement the changes to infrastructure and guide junior members in implementing them. Attend cross-functional training and knowledge sharing sessions with internal stakeholders.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus five (5) years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, or Technical Associate, Manager, or Consultant, or related position performing software design and development. Must have experience with the following: performing core database development using native tools/methods, including Stored Procedures, SQL, and PL/SQL scripting; performing Extract Transform Load (ETL/ELT) design/development; work with ETL tools, including Informatica; using programming languages, including Shell Scripting; work with SDLC process, including Agile and Waterfall; design and develop data pipelines using ETL Tools including Informatica PowerCenter, Talend Data Integration; Database Skills like - SQL; Stored Procedures and PL/SQL scripting; Hive; Teradata; Oracle; UNIX; Autosys; Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, MongoDB, Hadoop, Apache Kafka, Rest/SOAP; Scheduling Tools - Autosys Scheduler; Scripting languages such as shell and Scala; working on operating systems, including Windows and Unix; Cloud technologies - AWS and Snowflake.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $138,174 to $195,550, on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
