RESEARCH SPECIALIST C at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Duties: The functions of this position will include: rapid and large scale production and development of nucleoside-modified mRNA, developing and performing all quality control analyses on all mRNAs produced in the lab, development of new immunization methods for mRNA-LNPs, immunizations and analyses of mice to test new immunization methods, and most critically, developing new techniques to both large scale produce mRNA and do this production under GMP conditions. They will act without direct supervision and be required to develop their own assays and methods, troubleshoot these methods, and analyze the data to determine the next steps in development.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or more and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Masters degree preferred.


Must have extensive laboratory experience working with molecular biology techniques and mRNA. Must be willing to work with small laboratory animals. Prior experience with tissue culture work is preferred.
