Job Description:

This temporary, project-focused Graphic Artist position will be responsible for preparing high-quality graphics assets for use on our ecommerce site. This position will focus on executing graphics that adhere to established standards under tight time constraints. The role involves collaborating with Science Writers and other Graphic Artists to meet project goals and maintain consistency in graphics.

The initial duration of this role will be three months, with the possibility of an extension of the position based on business needs. The position is based out of our Newton, NJ office, 2-week, in-office onboarding period with flexibility for hybrid schedule.

Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Prepares and produces graphics following established guidelines and naming conventions to support the ecommerce site.
  • Collaborates with Graphic Artists, Science Writers, and marketing management to ensure consistency in assets and adherence to quality standards.
  • Executes quality control measures:
    • Ensures product images adhere to color correction standards.
    • Ensures product placement and relative size adhere to standards.
    • Ensures correct usage of fonts and templates.
    • Verifies proper naming and uploading of photos to the appropriate location.

In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

Physical Activities:

This is largely a sedentary role. This may require the ability to lift, bend, or stand as necessary. The employee may occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years of graphics experience in a fast-paced production environment.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, graphic arts, or a related field or equivalent work experience

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Advanced mastery of the Adobe Suite of Programs
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working in a team environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-review work for accuracy and standard adherence.

• Strong project management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, multi-task, be detail oriented, and successfully maintain high quality work.

• Demonstrated work ethic, ownership, and accountability; ability to individually drive initiatives

This is a temporary position with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
