A Local Automotive manufacturing organization is seeking a talented Product Development Coordinator to add to their team in San Marcos, California.
Responsibilities:
Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.
Proactively create and prioritize business cases for new products and platforms for Vehicle Specific Kits.
Coordinate product development schedules (New Products / Product Revisions / Market Research), with all departments, holding all involved accountable for deliverables and due dates.
Coordinate the steps of Vehicle Specific Kit development with engineering team to ensure on time launch of kits.
Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and customers to source vehicles for new product development.
Proactively research and analyze the automotive, motorcycle (dual sport, adventure, and street), and UTV markets to find trends that will influence new product development projects.
Work with engineering and other departments ensuring procedures are followed for optimal efficiency during product development process.
Create build sheets for production stations.
Keep product applications and compatibility up to date with the current model year.
Maintain and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect the current best practices of the Engineering and Product Development department.
Directly reports to the Product Development Manager.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of Product Development experience in the automotive industry.
Self-starting, motivated professional.
Experience working with NetSuite.
Comfortable working with multiple departments simultaneously.
