Job Summary:



As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. This is a hands-on role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for process improvement.



Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP


• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis


• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting


• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities


• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information


• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements


• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve financial controls


• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• CPA designation preferred but not required


• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-size company or similar environment


• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards


• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite,, MS Dynamics or similar) and Microsoft Excel


• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
