The Operations Manager oversees the automation team, ensuring smooth operations in designing, installing, integrating, and repairing automation equipment. This role manages technician schedules, oversees projects, and ensures departmental goals align with company values.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the automation team, ensuring accountability
Oversee department goals and objectives through meetings and EOS/Traction practices
Direct technicians on projects, troubleshooting, and equipment design
Conduct employee evaluations and provide coaching
Develop training programs and succession plans
Maintain design, documentation, and programming standards
Collaborate with Sales to meet customer project needs
Manage department budget and analyze data for improvement
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in electrical, programming, or automation/robotics preferred but not required
5-7 years of Operations Management or Project Management experience
Strong leadership skills and experience in project management for automation
Knowledge of control programming, mechanical design, and CAD is a plus
ERP systems knowledge
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Location: Sauk Rapids onsite or split between Sauk Rapids and Saint Paul- Must be 100% onsite
