Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Procedure Scheduler to follow our scheduling process for various gastroenterology procedures. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule patient procedures efficiently, ensuring optimal use of resources.
Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary pre-procedure instructions.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate procedure times and resources.
Maintain accurate records of scheduled procedures and patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Address patient inquiries regarding scheduling, procedures, and insurance verification.
Follow up with patients to confirm attendance and gather any required documentation.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the office.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in scheduling or a medical office environment preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of gastroenterology procedures is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in EHR systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
