  • Typical schedule for this position is 7:30 a.m. MT to 4:30 p.m. MT.
  • This position comes into the Denver, CO office on Monday and Wednesday of each week.

HOW YOU WILL SOAR:

The Senior Wire Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for supporting the Accruit Finance and Operations teams by approving and overseeing the movement and reconciliation of client funds to ensure adherence to department policies and procedures.


  • Oversee the Treasury and Accounting Administrators confirmation of wire instruction confirmations to ensure proper instructions are provided and are confirmed with authorized parties

  • Oversee the Wire Specialists opening of client subaccounts

  • Review and approve wire disbursements and check requests initiated by the Wires Specialist

    • Daily wire volume varies but can be up to 30 wires a day, with volume expected to increase

    • Wire amounts also vary but can include wires up to $50 million per transaction

    • Review will include ensuring proper beneficiary, which may involve reviewing organizational and legal documents

  • Perform daily subaccount bank reconciliations and reconcile variances
    • This involves comparing 500+ subaccount bank balances to internal recordkeeping reports
  • Review master account balances daily and ensure all funds are allocated properly and timely

  • Assist the Wires Specialist and the Treasury and Accounting Administrator with the following tasks as needed, depending on volume and team coverage:

    • Apply incoming wired funds to customer accounts and follow up on any unapplied funds in a timely manner

    • Confirmation of wiring instructions for outgoing wires

    • Serve as a backup for wire initiations and pulling client fees from bank accounts

  • Assist in the development and adherence of policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the disbursement process by staying up to date on fraud protection and best practices

  • Assist with client questions and preparing back-up support as needed

  • Review and sign outgoing checks

  • Work closely with banking partners (5 banks currently) when issues arise on the banking side or when a verbal callback is needed prior to wire disbursement

  • Working closely with the Operations team to ensure providing top tier service and coming up with solutions to operational issues faced

  • Performing additional tasks or responsibilities as needed by the department or company

  • Ability to work 40+ hours is required and the expectation is that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner


IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:

  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, Banking, Accounting, or similar industries

  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members and working collaboratively with a team

  • Experience with the wiring of funds, including confirmation of wiring instructions

  • Real estate experience and familiarity with 1031 exchanges is a plus

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

      • Must be proficient with functions such as filtering, sorting, creating pivot tables, using lookup functions and other functions used to compare and analyze data
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

    • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

    • Able to demonstrate and hold others accountable for organizational values and ability to provide constructive feedback
