We are looking to hire a Mortgage Origination Support Specialist for our fast-growing team!

Mortgage Origination Support Specialist

DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU); is currently seeking candidates for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Mortgage Origination team.  At DCCU, we go beyond transactions and truly want to help our members achieve financial success by aligning them with the right products and services to help make a difference in their lives. What You’ll Have the Opportunity to Do:


  • Responsible for Mortgage Leads to include processing, assigning, and pre-screening while providing courteous and prompt support to DCCU members and staff.

  • Route unassigned member submitted Web Applications to the appropriate Mortgage Advisor after prescreening the applicant via inbound calls or by making outbound calls.

  • Support Mortgage Sales Manager with at-app denials and adverse actions.

  • Handles all in complete applications and follows the incomplete application procedures.

  • Communicate with members regarding payoff requests and loan changes, discuss options and route refinance opportunities to appropriate Mortgage Advisor.

  • Review loan applications to determine the completeness of all documents and advise Mortgage Advisors of any deficiencies or missing documentation.

  • Coordinate sending of disclosures as needed.

  • Review packages and submit complete files to Mortgage Operations as needed.

  • Assist Mortgage Advisors with Pre-Approval process.

    • Review and analyze asset documentation for sufficient funds to close.

    • Review and analyze member income documents, including but not limited to pay stubs, social security statements, pension statements, etc.




  • Follow up with applicants that are searching for homes and have been pre-approved.

  • Contact members whose rates are due to adjust.

  • Assist members that want to exercise the option to lower their mortgage rate on the Rate Drop product.


  • Assist Mortgage Advisors and Operations to gather required documents to clear conditions.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:


  • 1-2 years’ experience with consumer loan and/or mortgage products preferred but not required.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work with confidential files and/or materials.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.

  • Ability to work within Encompass LOS system.

  • Aptitude for detail work and accuracy.

  • Ability to work in high pressure environment.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a NMLS number.

  • Bilingual is preferred but not required.
