Technical Program Manager III

Introduction to the team

Supply Partner Experience (SPX) team at Expedia Group enables great vacations by helping our supply partners - hotels and vacation rentals - enter the Expedia Group marketplace, providing a broad and diverse selection of vacation experiences for our customers. As a Technical Program Manager III on our team, you will independently drive Operations Excellence which includes key responsibilities such as mitigating/preventing security vulnerabilities, ensuring that our systems, processes and solutions are SOX complaint, we are exposing our APIs to third parties in a secured way. The role combines technical expertise with program management skills to ensure that solutions/controls are delivered on time, within scope, and to the desired quality standards. You will engage with stakeholders to keep them informed about progress, risks and issues. You will apply analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues and can navigate complex problems and make informed decisions.

In this role, you will :

  • You will be the bridge between Security, CAS (Corporate Audit Services), SOX, PCI, Corporate Teams, Experience Engineering Excellence Enablers and Feature teams to ensure we have necessary controls and evidence in place from Security, Audit and Compliance ( e.g. SOX) standpoint

  • You will work with Engineering Leaders and TPMs in Supply Partner Experience group to drive Security and Compliance related initiatives such as addressing/mitigating security vulnerabilities, proactive training to teams etc

  • You will work with Architects, TPMs and Engineering Leaders to securely externalize our Assets such as APIs

  • You will represent Supplier Partner experience team for work items which are part of audit and legal review

  • You will work with cross functional teams to come up with an overall schedule and key aspects of a program such as entry and exit criteria, definition of done for Security and Compliance related initiatives. You will also proactively identify risks/dependencies and work with appropriate teams and individuals to mitigate them

  • You will Communicate key metrics around vulnerabilities and Compliance and status, risks and dependencies associated with Security and Compliance related Programs/Initiatives to Product and Tech Leadership teams

Experience and qualifications :

  • Prior experience in Program Management is required

  • Prior experience in driving SOX compliance, Vulnerabilities Management and driving Security and Compliance related initiatives

  • A good understanding of Software Development tools and technologies

  • Good grasp on basic Cloud Software design and technologies

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills focused on targeted and timely communication with right level of technical details

  • Exhibits knowledge of the organization's processes, objectives , and challenges and their impact on the business

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
