IT NETWORK ANALYST (ON-SITE MUSCATINE, IA) at Kent Corporation in Muscatine, Iowa

Job Description:

Are you ready to join a FIVE-TIME US Best Managed Company?! KENT® Corporation is looking for a Network Analyst to join their growing team! This position is responsible for network infrastructure, security and VPN configuration for the Kent network as well as the implementation of projects, monitoring LAN/WAN network devices and helping ensure an optimized and stable network infrastructure. In addition this entry level position will manage an incident ticket queue, escalate issues to appropriate team members and ensure the creation and maintenance of documentation through the change management process.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Configure, install, and maintains Kent’s network infrastructure including routers, switches, access points and appropriate cabling.


•  Troubleshoot and resolve incidents as assigned in the IT Support Process.


•  Plan and implement network upgrades when necessary.


•  Participates in reviewing existing instructions, guidelines, standards and policies seeking continuous improvement in service to end users.


•  Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.


•  Perform regular maintenance on network equipment to ensure optimal performance.


•  Stay up to-date on the latest networking technologies and trends including cloud.


•  Ability to complete multiple simultaneous tasks and/or projects in a timely manner.


•  Work collaboratively with all IT and non-IT resources.


•  Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.


• Understands Cloud technologies

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Management or related field preferred and 2+ years experience in the IS/IT field.


• Cisco certifications preferred.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Windows 10/11 desktop operating systems.


• Demonstrates an expert knowledge level of switches and routers


• Understanding of Next-Generation Firewalls configuring and troubleshooting


• Understands SD-WAN technology


• Understanding of server virtualization


• Experience managing Cisco or comparable enterprise wireless solutions


• Experience managing Cisco Call Manager a plus

TRAVEL:

• Requires the ability and willingness to travel as needed to various Kent Corporation locations

Other: 

• Requires the ability and willingness to work outside the schedule of 7 a.m.-7 p.m. CT Monday through Friday.
