Oneonta City School District has the following vacancy: Teaching Assistant e are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support classroom activities and enhance the learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in preparing lesson materials, maintaining classroom organization, and providing individualized support to students. Key responsibilities include helping with lesson planning, managing small group activities, reinforcing learning objectives, and assisting in the assessment of student progress. The Teaching Assistant will also monitor student behavior, encourage participation, and create a positive learning environment. Strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for education are essential. Previous experience working with children, especially in a classroom setting, is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students to support academic goals is crucial.
