Job Description:

As an Implementation Engineer in Arm's Solutions Engineering group, we like to think we are not just crafting sophisticated SoCs, but we are defining future chip design techniques. Not only do we improve the power, performance, area and system integration of our products, but we also create the design flows, influence Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, and build the knowledge base that makes high-performance chip design possible.


Our work goes beyond multiple divisions where we drive improved implementation for Arm and our partners. A key component of this is around the development of comprehensive implementation and analysis methodologies.



What you could be doing as an Implementation Graduate?



  • Physical design and implementation of CPU & GPU cores, SoC and other ARM IP, involving Synthesis, Floor-planning, Place & Route, Static Timing Analysis, Em & IR analysis, Logical equivalence and Physical verification.

  • Investigating Power, Performance, Area, Time (PPAT) to market and Yield (PPATY) tradeoffs involved in implementation.

  • Develop and deploy new methodologies to improve implementation efficiency and results.

  • Work with implementation and physical IP RTL design teams to drive analysis and optimization of our IP.

  • Responsible for implementing blocks of varying complexity around system interconnect, CPU and GPU cores as well as other outstanding Arm IP.


We are looking for individuals who:



Hold (or on track to hold by August 2025) a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other relevant technical subject areas.



Qualities that will help your application stand out:



  • Knowledge of Unix, Perl, Tcl, and VHDL/Verilog.

  • Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor Graphics) is preferred.

  • Ability to demonstrate that you can express new insights and communicate them optimally.

  • Good interpersonal skills with an analytical approach.

  • Be motivated to continuously develop skills and accept a variety of responsibilities as part of contributing to the design center's success.
