Kindercare is searching for a Supervisor, Community Partnerships to join our Education team to lead a team in providing direct support to families and children as well as connecting families to local partnerships and programs in support of their health, wellbeing, and educational development. This position involves a unique blend of consulting, external program partnership development and maintenance, and assessment and evaluation of family and child needs. It is an outstanding opportunity for an early childhood education professional to make a significant difference for the children and families throughout the 2,000 centers and sites we operate.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of professionals that provides supports and resources to drive center engagement with the broader community.
Establishes relationships and develops agreements with national partners to provide services for children and families being served in our centers.
Ensures the design and development of the structure for centers to access annual health screenings for children to include but not limited to medical, hearing, dental and vision
Supports community leads in managing local partnerships
Develops tools and resources to help center staff meet the needs of enrolled families
Identifies brand KPIs, develops and operationalizes a system to continuously learn and improve processes to ensure scalability of program offerings
Conduct center visits and travel up to 30%
Qualifications
A master's degree in social work, human services, drug and alcohol, education, counseling, psychology, or criminal justice strongly preferred, or
A bachelor's degree in human behavioral science which includes 30 semester or 45 quarter hours either in development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques, such as social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development required
Experience working with children and families in support of sourcing and navigating program resources
Experience in developing program infrastructure and processes to achieve established KPIs
Experience addressing behavior, physical and mental health among elementary school-age children preferred
Ability to show compassion and to respond to the concerns of center/field employees, families, and colleagues in a caring manner with patience and active listening
Ability to drive positive outcomes that address family and child needs through a proactive approach in assessing needs
Skilled at handling urgent situations with thoughtful analysis and judgment and calm temperament
A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can think strategically about the needs the Community Partnerships program holistically
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
Strong written, verbiage, and organizational skills
Ability and appetite to lead and engage diverse and equitable teams
