<span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Best Buy is looking for a Commercial Construction Estimator who will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates and schedules for construction projects for Retail, Non-Retail, and Rollout Programs. The individual in this role will develop cost estimates with an understanding of current market conditions with subcontracting and materials. </span></span><br><br><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. do</b></span></span></span><ul><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Analyze architectural / engineering plans and specifications / technical documents to produce accurate and cost-effective estimates and schedules for all construction projects</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Bi-annual budget update to prototypes</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Create directional budgets based off Statement of Work when drawings/specifications are not available</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Partner with Construction, Design, Development, Procurement, and Real Estate Teams in value engineering efforts</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Responsible for developing estimating tool and process that supports all workstreams.</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Work with CPM's and Procurement on creating bid documents for all workstreams</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Partner with Procurement, Design, and Development on preferred material costing and selections</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and material suppliers in partnership with Procurement and CPM's</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Track material costs and quantities throughout projects and work with Project Coordinator on forecasting</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Review Proposed Change Requests with CPM's to confirm pricing for scope is fair and reasonable</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Monitor expenses and construction costs to ensure projects are completed within budget</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Update and communicate changes in cost estimates </span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Prepare and present detailed summaries of labor costs and materials on a quarterly basis</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Minimal travel to construction sites, conferences, etc. </span></span></span></li></ul><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></span></span></span><ul><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">5 years of experience in commercial construction </span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Extensive experience reading and understanding architectural and engineering drawings and specifications</span></span></span></li></ul><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></span></span></span><ul><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">BS/BA in construction estimating, engineering, architecture, construction management </span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">BlueBeam, CAD or Procore experience</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Training and certification by ASPE (American Society of Professional Estimators) </span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite - Xcel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Outlook</span></span></span></li><li style="margin-left:8px"><span style="font-size:13px;"><span style="line-height:normal"><span
