Join our client, a Fortune 500 Distribution company, as a Safety Manager where you will develop, implement, and administer comprehensive facility and fleet safety programs that ensure compliance with industry regulations and foster a culture of safety.

What you will be doing:

• Develop and oversee environmental and occupational health and safety programs (OSHA, EPA, DOT, FMCSA, USDA/USDC/FDA, AIB, Homeland Security, etc.)


• Conduct accident investigations and reporting.


• Manage company safety program compliance, including audits, scorecards, PWMs, safety training, and driver training.


• Coordinate medical interventions and track safety initiatives from a financial perspective.


• Build strong relationships to foster a culture of openness, trust, and collaboration.


• Improve safety policies and procedures to enhance workplace safety and efficiency.

What you must have:

• High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred)


• 6+ years of occupational safety and health management experience


• 2+ years of experience as a Safety Manager or Safety Supervisor


• Risk-based experience and incident investigation expertise


• Distribution or transportation industry experience


• OSHA and EPA Compliance experience


• Fleet Safety/DOT Compliance experience


• Experience with Smith System a plus


• Certifications a plus (CSP, ARM, etc.)


• Ability to travel within the local market


• Active driver's license (CDL a big plus)
