Location: Sioux City, IA

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sanitation SUpervisor-3rd Shift for a food manufacturing company located just outside of Sioux City.



Location: Sioux City




Pay: $75k-80k+bonus




Shift: 3rd Shift



This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of sanitation conditions to assess risks and ensure compliance with food safety standards.


• Monitor and verify the implementation of cleaning procedures.


• Ensure the safety of all personnel working in the sanitation area.


• Prepare media and reagents for microbiological and chemical testing.


• Evaluate the progress of daily and non-daily cleaning tasks.


• Identify and implement innovative problem-solving techniques.


• Ensure proper use of chemicals, drain baskets, and equipment.


• Verify cleaning efficiency using ATP swabbing and implement corrective actions.


• Manage pre-operational sanitation non-compliances during USDA inspections.


• Support the SQF program in areas such as allergen control, pest control, chemical control, and glass/brittle plastics.


• Coordinate with maintenance and operations departments to ensure proper preventive maintenance programs are in place.


• Minimize pre-operational deficiencies, non-compliance, and downtime.


• Train staff on food safety procedures, quality specifications, and company requirements.


• Conduct quality assessments and audits to ensure compliance.


• Validate the titration of chemical compounds.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Strong understanding of USDA regulations and food safety standards.


• Experience in sanitation practices and quality assurance.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.


• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.


• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
