Position Summary

Performs periodic tests and inspections and supervises outside contractors in the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules for all mechanical, electrical and automated systems. Also performs light maintenance activities.


  • The successful candidate will service both the Murrysvilleand Warrendale offices.
  • Travel to Warrendale several days per week, as needed, is required.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Supervises outside contractors in the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules for all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire, life, safety, security and other automated systems. Performs periodic tests and inspections to ensure that systems are operational.
  • Investigates all system malfunctions and initiates repairs. Authorizes and approves all repairs done by outside contractors. Coordinates efforts with Home Office and branch office management as required.
  • Performs maintenance/cleaning work as required. Assists, trains and schedules work for company and/or contracted maintenance personnel as required.
  • Maintains and orders related supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Follows appropriate safety measures and ensures that building and grounds keeping equipment and procedures are in compliance with OSHA.
  • Performs basic carpentry functions such as building and repairing wood furniture, constructing walls, laying and repairing carpet, installing doors and repairing hardware.
  • Performs light maintenance, including making minor repairs and replacing light bulbs.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements


  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required.

Additional Experience


  • Three to five years of previous related experience, including working knowledge of mechanical and electrical functions, required.
