In this role, you will prepare tax returns, deliver tax strategies, manage financial statements, and provide proactive advisory services. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation and Projections: Prepare tax returns for a variety of entities, including S Corps, C Corps, partnerships, Schedule C, Schedule E, and individual 1040 filings. Conduct tax projections and provide recommendations on tax strategies. Assist clients with sales tax reviews and filings, ensuring compliance. Financial Analysis and Bookkeeping: Analyze financial statements (P&L, cash flow statements, balance sheets) and interpret their meaning for clients. Leverage data to address client questions and advise on business decisions. Collaborate with the Client Success Manager (CSM) to review reconciled and categorized financials. Offer guidance on clean-up projects and ensure all records are accurate and up to date. Client Relationship Management & Education: Answer technical and strategic questions (i.e. asset purchases, business classification, tax strategies, budgeting). Educate clients on cash flow management, tax strategies, business processes, and financial planning, empowering them to make informed decisions. Build strong relationships with clients, offering personalized solutions to their financial challenges. Retain and upsell clients by offering additional services aligned with their business growth. Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting or related field. CPA, EA, or MBA preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting. Preferred Experience & Skills Experience with Drake Tax, QuickBooks Online, and familiarity with both cash and accrual accounting for small businesses. Hands-on experience working directly with business owners, especially small businesses. Ability to manage systems, workflows, reporting, and communication electronically. Comfortable meeting with clients and addressing their concerns directly. Knowledge of Profit First and Simple Numbers, Straight Talk, Big Profits methodologies.
