We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction estimation and quantity surveying. This role involves analyzing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. As a key member of our construction services team, you will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver accurate financial reporting and support effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide budgetary advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and proposals to develop accurate quantity take-offs.
Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimating purposes.
Monitor project costs and prepare reports to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
Assist in value engineering and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
Maintain organized documentation of all estimations, revisions, and vendor communications.
Provide support during bid preparation and submission processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying and estimating within the civil construction industry.
Proficient in estimating software and tools, with strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
