Visualase is a minimally invasive Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) solution utilized in patients with Epilepsy or Brain Tumor. The Visualase business is going through an exciting time of growth and is getting ready to commercialize cutting-edge platform innovations. We are looking to accelerate our business growth and bring this life-changing therapy to more patients across the world.

To that end, we are looking for a strategic Principal Market Development Manager responsible for market development. The scope would include market assessments, therapy awareness programs, referral channel development, patient and digital marketing. Ideal candidate would have ability to create Visualase market development strategy and partner with cross-functional teams to execute on this strategy. This role would report into the Visualase business leader.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Conduct market and care pathway assessments to identify opportunities

  • Identify and assess market opportunities and trends to drive product growth and adoption.

  • Develop and implement strategies for market penetration, working closely with sales, marketing, and product teams.

  • Accelerate referral pathways and execute patient marketing programs

  • Maintain strong digital presence for therapy awareness and education

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospitals, and healthcare professionals to enhance product visibility.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns, promotional materials, and educational programs aimed at enhancing product awareness.

  • Track and report on key metrics (KPIs) related to market development, including sales growth, market share, and product adoption.

  • Participate in conferences, seminars, and events to promote the company's brand and establish a strong presence in the medical community.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 10 years of relevant experience in market development, business strategy, or product marketing or an advanced degree with 8 years relevant experience in market development, business strategy, or product marketing

Nice to Have


  • MBA or an advanced degree in the field of medical / healthcare / business

  • Knowledge of medical device industry practices, techniques, and standards (e.g., role of clinical trials, reimbursement landscape)

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing market development strategies.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Experience building relationships with key customers, physicians / KOLs

  • Proven ability to achieve strategic initiatives across a matrixed organization

  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills

  • Experience working in a fast paced, global organization

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$161,600.00 - $242,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
