Position Summary:
Responsible for increasing the utilization of the Behavioral Sciences Campus services by contacting area physicians and other potential key referral sources as well as achieving volume targets and enhancing program utilization patterns.

Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Makes personal sales calls to identified referral sources to increase the share of hospital services in the market, and maintain records of client interactions.
2. Generates referrals through cold calling and scheduled calls.
3. Serves as a resource to provide information to physicians and other referral sources that will help build relationships with the hospital and the department of psychiatry.
4. Develops and implements a quarterly sales strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy based on current and prospective hospital services and programs.
5. Provides Marketing Director a written report on activities and outcomes on a monthly basis.
6. Monitors referral source satisfaction through personal visitations, telemarketing, and other client contacts.
7. Adheres to all departmental policies, procedures and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, and productivity.
8. Supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of physician and hospital services in the mental health field.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to conceptualize and develop effective marketing and relationship development strategies.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to speak in public and outstanding conflict resolution abilities.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Nursing, Related Field or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years successful medical sales or related experience; sales experience with physicians & staff is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
