Your Role:
The Senior Associate Production Scientist at the Sheboygan Falls site will support the design and construction of a new manufacturing plant in collaboration with the project team from the operations aspect. This assignment is for the duration of the construction and commissioning and turns into an operations role when production commences. Responsibilities will include:
Review design plans, monitor the construction process, prepare for installation and commissioning of equipment
Support the current production operation as a Sr. Associate Production Scientist, based on department needs
Manage manufacturing projects and support other fellow chemists
Work in the thin films unit to design, synthesize, and purify precursor materials to use in the industry
Use modern instrumentation to analyze and interpret data to determine specifications for materials synthesized
Organize data into a format that is presentable to the customers for their understanding of the new materials made
Responsible for scaling material to small volume manufacturing providing the process, analytical methods, hazard analysis, and stability of the materials scaling
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or in Chemistry, Biochemistry or other life science discipline
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications:
3 + years of experience in glassware manufacturing
Knowledge in handling of air and moisture sensitive inorganic/organometallic compounds as they relate to the electronics industry
Knowledge of chemistry to independently solve problems and improve procedures while requiring minimal guidance
Experience with Continual Improvement Process (CIP) for processes run in the laboratory
Scale chemistry to the plant and work with pilot plant team when scaling beyond the laboratory
Efficient with analytical techniques including GC and NMR
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Proficient with Word, Excel, and Power Point
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with customer conference calls and presentations
