The Document Retrieval Specialist is responsible for contacting healthcare providers to request and obtain billing documents and processes document request cancellations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the nursing staff in the medical claim audit process by contacting healthcare providers to request and obtain billing documents via fax, mail & e-mail for claims processing
Organize and prioritize claims daily for follow up of billing documents not received
Processes document request cancellations
Meets or exceeds the Document Retrieval Performance Standards established by the Document Retrieval department
Performs other related responsibilities as assigned
Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to ZELIS standards regarding privacy
Professional Experience:
Healthcare/Medical Claims experience a plus
Customer Service experience a plus
Great verbal communication skills
Knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, & Internet Explorer
Strong prioritizing & organizational skills
Excellent customer service & telephone skills
Education:
High School Diploma
Associate's degree is a plus
