General Overview:
Mass General Brigham's Investment Office manages more than $20 billion for MGB, invested primarily via partnerships with third party investment management firms. Strategies in the portfolio include private equity, venture capital, long-only equities, long/short equities, and real assets investments. Our goal is to generate excellent long-term risk adjusted returns to support MGB's healthcare mission.

Responsibilities:
The Corporate Director, Investment Administration reports directly to MGB's Chief Investment Officer and provides critical strategic leadership and oversight for office operations and human capital development. This role has direct supervisory responsibility for three individuals and provides support to a team of 20+ colleagues in the MGB Investment Office.
Human capital leadership and team development support
Serve as trusted advisor/thought partner to the CIO and Investment Office staff for questions related to human capital management.
Responsible for creation of talent development strategy. Support change management efforts and advise on communication strategy.
Lead annual review and individual goal-setting processes; identify and implement best practices to maximize team development.
Help design and execute annual summer investment staff internship program.
Oversee recruiting processes in collaboration with MGB Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams; help write job descriptions and process Position Control applications, interview recruits, and manage recruiting documentation and workflows.
Manage training and onboarding processes to ensure employees feel welcomed, supported, and have the resources needed to be successful on our team.
Develop and maintain best-in-class HR document management processes for managing confidential information. Ensure compliance with data privacy policies.
Provide support as needed for compensation and payroll questions, working in collaboration with MGB's Human Resources and Compensation teams.
Collaborate with MGB central HR to address questions and process requests regarding various human capital needs (leaves of absence, timecard management, benefits, payroll, etc.).
Oversee all administrative functions for the Investment Office:
Manage team of three Executive Assistants; optimize EA team's workflows and training for high employee engagement, excellent team communication and collaboration, and to provide top-tier support to investment and operations teams.
Propose new tools and processes that enhance decision-making and office efficiency.
Supervise office services purchasing.
Coordinate with Assembly Row facilities team for ad hoc requests as needed.
Work closely with Investment Office leadership to reinforce norms and design activities, presentations, surveys, etc. that foster an inclusive, collaborative, and efficient work environment in which employees with diverse backgrounds and talents thrive.
Oversee processes related to Investment Committee communication, meeting coordination, document distribution, and other IC events, demonstrating keen attention to detail and ability to communicate with high-level executives.
Participate in strategic planning efforts and support external communications:
Contribute to strategic planning initiatives for the office, providing recommendations and insights for improving organizational effectiveness.
Assist with broad manager communications, including the year-end impact email.
Help develop strategies to strengthen the office's online presence and brand within the investment community.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years' work experience in healthcare, finance, human resources, or related field.
Bachelor's degree required.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Fluency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; facility with technology and interest in learning new software tools.
Proven track record of successful leadership and decision-making in collaborative organizational environment; able to design and execute projects with limited oversight.
Demonstrated ability to adapt and manage through organizational change.
Strategic thinker who proactively identifies both problems and solutions.
Unquestionable ethics and ability to handle highly confidential information.

Working Condition and Location:
Hybrid schedule from MGB's Somerville, MA office (Tues/Weds required in-office) with occasional travel to Boston.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Three direct reports.
