PURPOSE: To Support all requirements of production
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the supervision of all hourly plant teammates on the shift, including the coaching, training, discipline, and scheduling of work.
Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for all teammates, including providing instruction on safe operations, necessary personal protective equipment, and goods housekeeping.
Responsible for decision making and working closely with other departments in problem solving on any technical or scheduling issues and coordinating with other shifts to ensure good communication.
Responsible for ensuring that the production schedule is met in an efficient and effective manner to maximize plant efficiency and meet customer requirements.
Maintain control of department labor cost including overtime and maximize labor utilization.
Promote and lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities such as kaizen and 5S initiatives by utilizing the Woodbridge Production System.
Ensure set up and cycle times are met.
Responsible for ensuring all teammates receive the necessary training required to perform their duties.
Responsible for ensuring quality standards are met according to quality management system and IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all production paperwork and documentation and overseeing any stock movements and shipping duties to maintain accurate inventory levels.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in management or business preferred.
Experience:
Minimum three to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Record of supervisory experience and accomplishments.
Solid understanding of quality requirements.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Strong people skills including communication, attention to detail and organization skills.
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements and manpower planning.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S and kaizen, root cause analysis, problem solving methodology and SPC.
Must demonstrate the ability to successfully plan, coordinate and direct the activities of the production control function, which includes the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the systems and procedures associated with the functional area.

Leadership skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to share and transfer knowledge and skills to / with others.
Dependable and self-motivated individual with good attendance / disciplinary and safety record who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
Detail orientated individual with excellent thinking and trouble-shooting skills; able to make decisions based on information and analysis.
Ability to work weekends, alternate shifts and flex hours as required.
Some math and computer skills are essential to perform job duties.
