JOB SUMMARY:

Monitors and reports on the company’s interest rate, liquidity, and market risks while contributing analysis in asset liability management functions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or business plus one year of experience in financial institution accounting, finance or investments required; or an advanced degree, or three or more years of experience in finance or accounting in a similar industry

* Direct experience in asset/liability management or financial institution investments preferred

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word

* Strong aptitude for personal computer systems and technology

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Proven strength in analysis, organization, the ability to work independently, customer service, and time and efficiency management

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborates to update the Vantage interest rate risk model on a monthly basis. The process includes importing data, updating rates, and producing reports. Conducts reconciliations throughout the update to ensure that the model data matches the financial data in the general ledger system.

2. Completes monthly and quarterly data warehouse report updates and archives to organize data for ALCO reporting and other purposes.

3. Organizes and documents work papers supporting monthly processing of the interest rate risk model, ALCO reporting and other management reporting; as well as quarterly production of Economic Value of Equity and earnings at Risk.

4. Assists in verifying and testing actual and projected yields, growth, and distribution of assets, liabilities and equity at cost center, market center, and legal entity levels for reasonability.

5. Assists in annual planning for Net Interest Margin projections, including testing and verifying volume, yield, and rate forecasts for cash, fed funds, investments, loans, deposits, and other borrowings at various reporting levels.

6. Responsible for administration of loan prepayment and deposit decay model(s). Produces and archives reports to be used in loan prepayment analysis.

7. Monitors daily changes in liquidity to observe and communicate significant changes when warranted. Follows and documents trends in deposits caused by the market or seasonal activities.

8. Investigates and reconciles differences between safekeeping reports with First Horizon National bank, Federal Reserve and Mimics application.

9. Performs monthly Federal Home Loan Bank reconciliation.

10. Primary administrator for monitoring and ensuring proper collateral is assigned to public fund customer accounts. Coordinates and communicates with public funds deposit customers regarding pledging activities, including making substitutions, additions and obtaining releases.

11. Primary administrator and contact for Repo/sweep processing and safekeeping maintenance. Includes daily processing, customer correspondence, and monitoring seasonal trends for future collateral needs.

12. Maintains publication of current deposit rates offered, decision support reports, audit and examination supporting materials. Gathers data for analyzing prepayment trends and behaviors in loan portfolios, and backup for correspondent account access.

13. Ensures that accounts held at correspondent banks are properly funded to cover charges against those accounts.

14. Monitors and records fed funds purchased and sold for correspondent banks and tests Fed fund lines of credit at upstream correspondents in accordance with policy.

15. Maintains the documentation of, repo sweeps, fed statements, investment credit files, reconciliations, public funds and pledging changes and other permanent files in Nautilus.

16. Organizes and documents investment security trades and related data, including maintaining a credit file, completing a checklist, uploading trade information to the investment accounting vendor, and effecting general ledger entries. Maintains and verifies various data from investment accounting vendor reports.

17. Serves as administrator and primary contact for the reciprocal deposit program. Coordinates issuance and maintenance of brokered deposit activity.

18. Provides broad administrative support to Funds Management personnel; including phone support, organizational support and customer service support.

19. Performs other duties as assigned.
