About the role

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures and data models.
• Implement and optimize star schema designs for data warehousing.
• Utilize Apache Spark for big data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models.
• Develop and enforce database standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
• Perform data integration and data migration tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing data architectures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and engineers.

About you

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.
• Extensive experience with star schema design and implementation.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and its ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Fabric or Databrick).
• Familiarity with data governance and data management principles.
• Knowledge of additional big data technologies (e.g., Kafka).
• Certification in data architecture or related fields.
