Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is looking for a Network Engineer for our client in Independence, OH. This person will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing and optimizing new and existing networking solutions. They will ensure reliable network operation across multiple locations. This position is a hybrid role that requires working onsite in Independence, OH 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the network infrastructure across the enterprise; Devices including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points/controllers/bridges, monitoring applications, etc.


• Network Engineer will be responsible for overall performance and availability of network infrastructure


• Establish and monitor network infrastructure security configuration standards, procedures and compliance


• Proactively monitor and resolve network performance and communication issues to ensure availability and reliability


• As a Network Engineer, you will analyze network and network security infrastructure recommending upgrades/changes supporting continuous improvement and capacity planning efforts


• Configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing VOIP network and devices


• Resolve issues in a timely manner; Documenting steps taken to do so and ensuring satisfaction

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education: Associate's degree in IT; Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related preferred


• 5+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree


• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in network engineering; Network related certifications are strongly desired


• Experience supporting LAN, WAN, wireless and voice networks


• Familiar with network integration with PLC's, HMI's, I/O devices, controllers and SCADA


• Knowledge and experience administering Firewalls and IPS policies


• Knowledge and experience implementing and supporting SD-WAN, iWAN or DMVPN solutions


• Expertise with virtualized environments; VMware strongly preferred


• Ability to travel up to up to 10%

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
