Responsibilities:
- Software Automation Engineer will provide technical expertise on automation standards and quality control
- Coordinate and execute projects, including setting up frameworks, identifying and documenting standards, developing, and maintaining testing evidence and automation scripts, and providing valuable feedback to developers
- Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured testing evidence
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate automation activities
- Perform various types of regression testing on release candidates
- Analyze product and process specifications and procedures
- Identify and recommend major improvements to procedural processes
- Recommend changes or improvements to existing processes, methods, and technologies to enhance product quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- As a Software Automation Engineer, you will perform exploratory testing focused on identifying and documenting defects
- Assist in developing quality assurance standards and processes
- Identify, record, document, and track software defects
- Work with internal teams (e.g., developers and analysts) to identify system requirements
- Investigate root causes of defects and document steps to reproduce them
- Track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities, open defect counts, and defect trends
- Understand product lifecycle concepts and participate in the test planning process
- Provide training to junior engineers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field is preferred
- Proven work experience in quality assurance, 3+ years preferred
- Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with C#, Selenium, and knowledge of NUnit
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Solid knowledge of the Page Object Model (POM) and scripting tools
- Ability to balance the scope of demanding projects
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
