  • Bachelors in Finance/Accounting from an accredited school
  • 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • High proficiency in MS Office software, experience in using queries, including Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle or similar systems. Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for daily financial analysis to support Manufacturing, Operations, and Management decisions that will support the plant in reaching its financial goals. Work with finance department and business partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the Controller.


  • Assist in reviewing the monthly balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements.
  • Assist with monthly closing and production of financial statements to guarantee timely reporting.
  • Review financial statements to ensure that the information reported properly reflects the company's financial position.
  • Assist with budget preparation and income forecasting.
  • Accumulate data for the preparation of the monthly financial review with corporate finance.
  • Assist with daily reporting to corporate finance.
  • Ensure compliance to financial aspects of internal controls.
  • Prepare, verify, and control the entering of journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Attend start up meetings as the business partner, being prepared with job level questions and guidance to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Understand manufacturing variances and speak with Plant Manager and Manufacturing Managers providing direction for process changes.
  • Backup to plant sales rep. in maintaining the quote management system and quote process. Assure timely responses to customers for all quotes.
  • Perform internal control testing.
  • Prepare and understand cost models and translate to financial statement impact.
  • Manage and control discretionary spend.
