Job Description Summary
The Betley lab in the Biology department at the University of Pennsylvania is looking for a research technician to be intricately involved as a team member to plan, design, performing, analyze and present data on experiments such as behavioral testing and histological analysis.
Job Description
The Research Specialist position will involve planning and executing appropriate behavioral and histological experiments and will involve presentation of the findings at lab meetings, departmental and University wide events and national conferences including the Society for Neuroscience annual conference. This position will assist with daily laboratory maintenance and ordering, along with complying with required lab safety and procedural documentation. All work will be done in close collaboration with the PI of the lab or other senior research staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies. Experience working with mice colonies is a benefit.
