This part-time position will be placed on the College hourly rates scale, grade 5 with minimum starting hourly rate of $17.53 per hour.

Pay Grade: 5 (minimum starting hourly rate $17.53)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Must be available to work flexible shifts during the day and occasional evenings as needed.
Due to potential conflicts of interest, current Community College students cannot be considered for this position.
JOB SUMMARY
Administers a variety of tests in the College Testing Center including placement assessments, course exams, and proprietary tests. The proctor helps students schedule exams, and they ensure that students with accommodations are given their legally required accommodations. In addition, they communicate with faculty when receiving and returning exams and for clarification. Proctors ensure that tests are proctored in a secure and standardized environment. They are also responsible for answering phone calls, emails, and other inquiries. Responsible for taking payments via credit card reader, cash and keeping detailed records of payments collected and filing receipts. The Testing Center is a fast-paced, high stakes environment where proctors must always follow multiple sets of guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity of the testing environment for all test-takers. Due to potential conflicts of interest, current Community College students cannot be considered for this position. This position reports to the Testing Center Specialist.

This work is normally sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
College campus, direct contact with diverse students, staff, faculty and the general public in classrooms, common and shared areas, offices, and campus environments. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office, meeting, and training rooms. Use of safe work place practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing with some highly technical applications and new technology systems; avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire and building safety regulations and all College policies. Work hours may vary 29 hours per week.
