We are looking for a highly engaged and self-motivated hardware engineer with CPU architecture/design background, strong interpersonal skills, and a drive for continuous learning.
As a member of our Applications team, you will provide enterprise-grade technical support to our customers who are implementing Arm IP in wide range of products. Develop positive relationships by working directly with customers, and by providing feedback for product enhancements back into the design cycle.
What you could be doing as a Hardware Applications Engineer Graduate?
Build testbenches and software to reproduce customer issues and debug simulation waveforms. Hone your skills by solving issues down to the RTL level in the CPU domain, and understand the implications from an ecosystem perspective.
Develop and lead customer training sessions, and gain first-hand exposure to the challenges they face. This includes spending time both as a technical presenter as well as engaging in brainstorming/whiteboarding sessions with customers as they ramp up their understanding of our IP and how it fits within the scope of their project.
Help improve our flows and practices used both within Arm and by our customers. Contribute to product documentation and create application notes. Collaborate with our Sales and FAE teams for additional pre-sales support and serve as an advocate for our customers.
We are looking for individuals who have:
Bachelors (BS or equivalent experience) or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Interest in and understanding of CPU architecture
Strong RTL and simulation debugging skills using EDA tools (Cadence, Siemens, Synopsys)
Strong written/verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask efficiently and with attention to detail
Ability to travel and visit other Arm and customer sites (approximately 10%)
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
Experience with root cause analysis of customer design issues (RTL/specification)
Experience with non-CPU components such as interconnects and memory subsystems
Programming and scripting languages (C, Assembly, Perl, Python)
Additional Information:
We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis.
In Return:
