JOB SUMMARY

Sr. CI Specialist is responsible for driving sustainable continuous improvements in the facility by delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. The Sr. CI Specialist works closely with Plant Leadership and hourly employees to achieve results. This position requires strong technical Lean Manufacturing and hands-on leadership skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Leads and facilitates Point and full week Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements
  • Works closely with Plant Leadership to:
  • Develop and execute improvement action plans
  • Build an employee engaged work environment
  • Develop tracking tools and measures to support CI initiatives
  • Develops business case justification for projects and initiatives
  • Leverage resources and share best practices across all facilities
  • Provide and teach CI tools to CI and Non-CI employees
  • Establishes and drives productivity pipeline roadmaps across departments and facility
  • Tracks and analyzes the CI initiatives
  • Responsible for managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ensure the facility implements and maintains Continuous Improvement initiatives within the facility.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Excellent keyboarding, record keeping and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time making sound decisions.
  • Must have a strong will to drive change and sustain.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two (2) or more years of CI project leadership and Kaizen event experience is required.
  • Strong communication, MS Excel and computer skill set.
  • Demonstrated experience of teaching and training of CI.
  • Collaborative and engaging with all audience levels.
  • TPM/Kaizen/Agile or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification a plus
