DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is looking for a Part-Time Marketing Coordinator in our Chicago Office (20-30 hours/week). This position is entry-level focused and has the potential to transition into a full-time position as the office grows. This position is intended to report directly to the Local Agency Client Services Manager. The primary purpose of this role will be to support the business development efforts in the Chicago, IL office. This will be done through various marketing initiatives including preparation of engineering proposals and statements of interest, assisting with business development activity management, and planning events for clients and internal staff functions.

This role will have a Hybrid schedule with 3-4 days/week onsite. Local candidates are preferred.

POSITION DUTIES

• Assist in the preparation of high-quality engineering proposals, qualifications, reports, presentations, brochures, award submittals, and other communications as needed for the local Chicago office.
• Coordinate with consultant firms for teaming and gathering marketing materials
• Communicate and interact with engineers and project managers for proposal and marketing related purposes
• Manage multiple priorities & meet strict deadlines
• Assist with the planning of client events, outings and conferences
• Maintenance of CRM database
• Maintain project and resume database for the Chicago office
• Assist with maintaining Chicago intranet website updates, weekly newsletters and social media channels
• Assist with coordinating special events and speaking opportunities for engineering staff
• Assist with ordering marketing materials and promotional items
• Assist with coordinating graphics for career fairs and conference exhibit booths
• Support staff with PowerPoint presentation graphics and content
• Collaborate with other departments for internal presentations and/or staff events

• Experience or coursework in Marketing or Communications preferred; other relevant experience will be considered
• Demonstrated strong technical writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience marketing in the environmental consulting and/or A/E/C field preferred
• Ability to work well under deadline pressure and handle multiple assignments concurrently
• Software proficiency: Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
• Website management skills a plus

The approximate compensation range for this position is $25/hourly. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
