Description: Our client is currently seeking a Industrial Engineering Manager
Qualifications & Requirements:
Team Management : Oversee a team of 3-4 Industrial Engineers, providing leadership and prioritizing projects to ensure milestones and budgets are met.
Project Leadership: Utilize project management tools to plan, develop, and coordinate tasks, delivering quantifiable results.
Standards Development: Manage the creation and maintenance of accurate engineered standards through time and frequency studies.
Best Practices: Develop and maintain best practices for all job functions.
Process Improvement: Lead, test, and implement new concepts to enhance process flow and setup in distribution centers, considering ergonomic designs.
Equipment Support: Assist in the design and installation of material handling equipment in new and existing distribution centers.
Cost Analysis: Use labor data to justify capital expenditures and support capital projects with work sampling, ROI, and cost/benefit analyses.
Due Diligence: Ensure accuracy in cost, capacity, and timing assumptions for projects.
Presentations: Develop and present recommendations to senior management.
Expense and Throughput Improvement: Support business objectives through needs assessment, work methods analysis, and project implementation.
SOP Development: Create standard operating procedures and build strong relationships with distribution operations teams to coach and train on best practices.
Labor Forecasting: Assist in developing processes for labor forecasting, staffing, modeling, and performance reporting.
Budget Development: Partner with DC Ops Leadership to develop and validate financial and operating expense budgets.
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Continuous Improvement Team and DC Operations for cross-functional project support (Transportation, Analytics, Merchandising, etc.).
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 5+ years in process design, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and project implementation.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and coaching teams to achieve performance goals and professional development milestones.
Distribution Center Experience: Experience in high-volume, fast-paced distribution centers.
Technical Skills: Expertise in work measurement, standard data, and predetermined time systems and tools, with a focus on time studies.
Program Development: Experience in developing, maintaining, and implementing management observation and accountability programs.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information to develop, recommend, and implement solutions while maintaining budget.
Certification: Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
