Summary:


The ETL/Data Integration Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing ETL processes from diverse data sources. This includes developing high-level conceptual models, logical models, and producing high-quality documentation. The role involves requirements gathering, data definitions collection, source-to-target mapping, and defining and implementing data transformation, quality checking, cleansing, and standardization processes. Additionally, the developer will test these processes for accuracy and performance. This individual contributor role requires flexibility to perform various functions such as analyst, designer, developer, tester, troubleshooter, performance tuner, and mentor within a collaborative Agile team environment to meet customer needs accurately and timely.



Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.


• At least five years of relevant experience.


• Equivalent education and/or work experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in data migration projects using ETL/ELT tools, with strong expertise in database modeling techniques.


• Proven track record in application database re-engineering, redesign, and data migration from legacy databases across multiple agencies.


• Skilled in developing complex SQL Server PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and ETL frameworks, with a strong grasp of data warehousing and cloud computing concepts.


• Proficient with tools such as MuleSoft, Qlik, Talend, DataStage, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, and Azure Data Factory.


• Hands-on experience with database programming, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, SQL performance tuning, data modeling, and ETL job scheduling.


• Successful execution of data warehousing projects across platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, and other cloud-based data platforms.

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Advanced SQL writing, including query tuning.


• Experience identifying data quality issues.


• Experience creating ETL jobs using DataStage, Qlik, Talend, or MuleSoft for data migration.


• Ability to perform on-the-fly data analysis using ad-hoc techniques for structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data.


• Proficient in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting production Data Platform environments.


• Design, build, and implement effective ETL/ELT jobs in both scheduled batch and real-time.


• Implement stored procedures and query databases securely across multiple databases.


• Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in ETL solutions.


• Ensure optimal performance and quality in ETL packages.


• Provide support and resolve issues in ETL packages.


• Author and execute unit test scripts.


• Experience developing and using APIs for data sharing and consumption.


• Knowledgeable in data infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud, preferably in Azure or AWS.


• Experience working in DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery environments.


• Work within established policies, standards, procedures, and practices.
