Job Description:
The Commercial Construction Superintendent will oversee the construction of gas station projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure they conform to project plans and specifications.
- Coordination: Manage subcontractors and coordinate activities between different trades to ensure smooth workflow.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring that milestones are met within the stipulated time frame.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety standards.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise on-site in real-time.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to keep the project aligned with its goals.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate site reports and documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce site safety protocols and address any legal, environmental, or health and safety concerns.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
